this is sooo far the background I worked on the most.
I've had this scene in mind since a long time, and at last i'm submitting it all finished !
i wanted to design the Temple of Upleas since a long time too, and i'm glad of the result. It's not that much decorated nor colored (only white stone) it's because the temple is digged right in the stone (kind of cliff, same thing apparently, but there's no sea around, there's no ocean on Upleas), so there's no window except those we can see behind the just-married couple (and also on the ceiling but we can't see it from here)
also, as the ruby-red color symbolize the queen, the white of the stone is the contrast with that color, showing that nothing else is important on Upleas than its Queen.
In another hand, the paving is different. It's because each queen of Upleas choose the paving of the Temple. Queen Zéninuma always wears green and copper-brown, she likes those colors.
Finally, the two largest stained glass represent the actual Queen (on the right - Zéninuma) and the future Queen (on the left - Zélée).
When Zélée will be crowned and when her girl will be 15 years old, her portrait will go on the right, Zéninuma's will be removed and Zélée's daughter portrait will appear on the left.
Guess that's enough for the Uplean culture lesson, isn't it ?
I know there must be many, manyyy perspective mistakes, but for this one, i don't care, it was a first challenge and i'm glad of the final result
But you can notice them to me in your comments, i won't correct them here, but i'll keep your advices for the eventually next pics ^^
i also make the pic in a wallpaper-size if somes are interested
